HKC SecureWave UDL via CSL Remote Manager

Setup

1. Login to My Base and select the site you wish to connect to

2. Click on the “Start UDL’ button and make a note of the COM ports

3. You will need to create a modem to allow the HKC Smartlink software to contact the DualCom Pro.

a. In the Windows Control Panel, select ‘Phone and Modem’ (try searching via the Windows search bar)

b. Select the [Modems] tab

c. Select [Add] and tick “Don’t detect my modem…” then click [Next]

d. Select ‘Standard Modem 5600bps Modem’ then click [Next]

e. Select one of the COM ports shown as available on My Base, then click [Next]

f. Then click [OK]

4. Launch the HKC SmartLink software

a. Create a new installation by clicking on [START NOW]

b. Select [New blank installation]

c. Select panel type and press [Next]

d. In the [Remote Code] field, enter the value configured on the panel to be managed

e. In the [Connection Method] field, select [Modem]

f. In the [Select Modem] field, select the standard modem driver you created above

g. In the [Connection Type] field, select [Dial panel]

h. In the [Phone Number] field, add the 8 digit Connection ID of the DualCom Pro (from My Base)

i. Press [Next] to continue and then [Finish]
