Who Are CSL Looking For?

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Commercial Manager to manage supply relationships/contracts with mobile
network operators (MNOs) and oversee tariff management for our IoT connectivity solutions. This role will be pivotal in
ensuring both cost and revenue assurance, providing insights and guidance on standard and bespoke pricing propositions.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in commercial management within the IoT or telecommunications
industry, with excellent negotiation skills and a keen analytical mindset. Additionally, you will oversee the Business Support
team, managing functions such as service provisioning and commercial data analysis for our estate of 3M+ customer
connections.

Duties & Responsibilities:

This role will encompass a range of responsibilities including but not limited to:
Contract Management & Supplier Relationships:
Build and maintain strong relationships with MNOs and other key suppliers.
Develop, negotiate, and manage supply contracts with MNOs and other relevant vendors.
Provisioning, management and control of 3rd party supplier services, including onboarding of new MNOs and other
communication providers.

Ensure all contracts meet the company’s standards for quality, cost-effectiveness, and compliance.
Monitor contract performance and enforce compliance against contractual terms and conditions.
Conduct regular performance reviews and audits to ensure suppliers meet agreed-upon operational service levels and
performance metrics.

Manage MNO contract renewals and amendments, ensuring continuity and optimal terms.
Pricing Insights and Guidance:
Provide insights and guidance on standard and bespoke pricing propositions.
Develop customized pricing solutions for specific customer requirements and market conditions.
Work closely with sales and marketing teams to develop competitive pricing strategies.

Regulatory Compliance:

Tariff Management:
Build/control and management of customer tariffs, overage and price plans for IoT connectivity services, ensuring
competitiveness and profitability.
Analyse market trends and pricing models to propose, establish and adjust tariffs as needed.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of tariff structures and recommend adjustments to optimise revenue and
market position.
Collaborate with finance and sales teams to align tariff strategies with overall business objectives.
Cost and Revenue Assurance:
Implement cost-control measures and monitor trends to stay within budgetary constraints.
Manage key supplier services and undertake monthly tariff optimisation.
Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements within the supply chain.
Conduct regular audits and implement corrective actions to ensure cost and revenue assurance.
Reporting and Analysis:
Prepare regular reports on contract performance, tariff effectiveness, cost management, and revenue assurance.
Provide insights and recommendations to senior management based on data analysis and market research.
Utilize advanced analytics tools to forecast trends and inform strategic decisions.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with sales, marketing, finance, operational and technical teams to align commercial strategies with
business goals.
Provide commercial support and guidance to internal stakeholders on IoT connectivity matters.
Troubleshooting process/system/customer issues where necessary and liaising with billing/product teams to effect
resolution.

Providing support and expertise for all CSL and Supplier management portals and provisioning systems

Key Skills & Qualifications Sought:

University education in business and/or equivalent experience.

5+ years of experience in commercial management, preferably in the IoT or telecommunications industry

Proven track record in managing complex supply contracts with MNOs.

Strong understanding of tariff structures, pricing models, and revenue assurance for IoT connectivity

Commercially minded with proven ability to analyse/articulate and provide presentations to senior stakeholders.

Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills,

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced entrepreneurial work environment. Must possess strong communication skills, a strong work ethic, high energy, enthusiasm.
