Technical Notes
The DualCom Pro and Panel must be allocated static IP addresses. The DC09 Encryption Key should be modified from the default value. Please contact CSL Technical Support who can assist in modifying it for the DualCom Pro to match the selected value on the panel.
The DualCom Pro can either be connected direct to the panel, in a point-to-point arrangement, or can be connected to the Customer’s network to communicate with the Panel.
If the latter, the installer may have to provide the DualCom Pro MAC address in advance to the Customer’s IT management, to have an IP address allocated for the DualCom Pro prior to installation. Please contact CSL Technical Support who can advise of this value.
The Customer’s IT management will then advise as to whether DHCP should be configured on the DualCom Pro (the default) or if the installer should manually configure the IP address and Default Gateway on the DualCom Pro.
Unless using DHCP, then these details need to be provided to CSL Technical Support so they can configure them into the DualCom Pro.
When configuring the Panel, it must be set to match the chosen values in these parameters. Please refer to the Panel Manufacturer’s guide on how to configure these.
